Smudge Fan Workshop Was a Blast!
Bright Smiles and creative energy was infectious as everyone was excited and ready to create their personal prayer/smudge fan.
Abe started off welcoming everyone and explained the sequence of events. He went over each piece that goes into the fan, discussing its significance and how you can personalize it to be a reflection of you. Once that was done, everyone was let loose on the materials and started creating right away. It was a festive fun filled atmosphere as we all contemplated what feathers to use, what stones speak to me and what kind of handle will I use. Pretty soon the glue guns were ready to go and warm glue flowed everywhere. Once they had created their fans, Abe instructed the class on the correct way to smudge.
It was such a revitalizing time in the sun being creative with each other that we decided to offer the workshop again!!
April 29th 10am to 1pm. There is a $35 fee that covers the cost of material as well as a light lunch. You are welcome to bring stones or other materials that you might want to use. We recommend you bring your own handle. These can be anything from a tree branch to a paint brush handle.
